Congratulations to Sam Bollinger, Project Executive with our MK Concrete Group, for receiving the prestigious Employer Support for the Guard and Reseve (ESGR) Patriot Award. United States Naval Reserve member Petty Officer Second Class Shawn Kerr, Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron EIGHT, United States Naval Reserve, Manchester, Maryland, nominated Bollinger for this award which only five percent of member employers receive.

The Maryland ESGR Western Region Chair volunteer Ron Pitts traveled to Frederick, Maryland, to present the award to Bollinger. Kerr stated during the presentation that he had an amazing employer who was very military friendly. “I was mobilized twice in six years and returned to open arms.” The ESGR is a volunteer organization under the Department of Defense that looks after the employment and reemployment rights of National Guard and Reserve members.
